Saturday 29th June marks a very special day for the HiTT Academy and St Albert The Great College as the Academy launches a program entitled ‘ Schools of excellence in Sport ‘ which sees a collaborative program in action. This initiative that is the brain child of technical director Mario Genovese is a program with a special bearing towards developing a close bond within the school’s table tennis students. The agreement extends to furnishing high tech table tennis equipment within the school, coaching and training programs for the students, nurturing talent for competition, talent identification, players program integration and also psychological preparation for competitive play.

HiTT Academy has been aggressively undergoing a massive build up towards maintaining the highest professional standards, amongst which is the investment of the services of four foreign coaches in the initial six months of operation, co-operation programs with five major foreign clubs, sponsored visits by top level foreign players for sparring and International camps. Mario Genovese went on to say ‘ This is only the beginning as we strive to bring closer the ideas that were in operation during my years of playing professionally in Scandinavia to HiTT Malta’
