Hi-Impact Table Tennis Academy’s summer camp has just been launched and without a doubt is setting new standards in the local table tennis scene. Brimming and full of activities and new initiatives. With two sessions a day from Monday to Saturday, HiTT will also be using its new table tennis centre at St Alberts College along with the Civil Service Sports Club. Both centres are located in Valletta and equipped with brand new Tibhar equipment.
HiTT Academy shall be bringing over two great international coaches: Carsten Egeholt from Denmark, and Gabriel Sveden from Sweden. Egeholt has extensive experience with the Danish national team and is one of the coaches at the state of the art Danish National Table Tennis Centre. He has won medals in the European Veterans Singles and Doubles Championships. Gabriel Sveden is a coach at Asa IF and Gothenburg in Sweden, where three HiTT players trained last summer. Several international players will also form part of the summer camp as training partners, including Sofie Egeholt (Denmark u-18 women’s champion), Edwin Cotter and Daniel Craig from Australia.
This summer program shall involve physical training sessions and mental workshops to promote not only table tennis but also the wellbeing of players, as well as help them achieve their full potential. Emphasis is on competition preparation.
