HiTT Malta Opens State-of-the-Art High Performance Centre in Tal-Ibrag

HiTT Malta has marked a significant milestone with the launch of its High Performance Centre in Tal-Ibrag, a cutting-edge facility designed to elevate table tennis training standards in Malta. As the newest premier table tennis venue on the island, the centre represents a major step forward in the club’s commitment to excellence.

A Premier Table Tennis Training Facility

The state-of-the-art premises were designed to provide an optimal training environment for players at all levels. The facility features:

  • Teraflex flooring, ensuring superior grip and performance
  • Pristine Tibhar tables, meeting professional playing standards
  • Air conditioning units, creating a comfortable atmosphere for players
  • A kitchenette and rest area, offering convenience for athletes and staff
  • A sponsor board, designed for post-match interviews and media coverage

To further enhance player development, HiTT Malta has plans to install a video analysis corner, which will enable athletes to review their techniques and refine their game through detailed analysis.

Grand Opening Event

The High Performance Centre was officially inaugurated with an Open Day on Sunday, 16th March, at the HiTT Academy. The event featured a variety of activities aimed at engaging players of all skill levels:

  • A free session for total beginners, allowing newcomers to experience the sport firsthand
  • A hall blessing and official opening ceremony
  • Open play sessions for beginners and intermediate players
  • Sparring opportunities with some of Malta’s top table tennis players
  • Food and refreshments for attendees
